Exclamation Unusual noise coming from behind dash

For quite a while now, we've had an unusual noise coming from what sounded like behind the glove box in our '03. I thought maybe the heater core had an issue, but it didn't leak and out coolant was replaced when we had the water pump and timing belt replaced.

So this summer, we had the musty smell issue. I bought some Frigi-clean and got rid of the smell. But before cleaning the condenser and after the noise was louder and was coming more under the dash behind the center console where the radio and AC controls are at. I took it have it checked out, even have the drain looked at for clogs, and everything was fine.

The best way I can describe the sound is a girggling noise. Since the system checked out okay, any ideas of what the noise could be? It doesn't make the noise all the time and will sometimes make it even when the AC is off.
