Hi all,
I'm having a problem similar to another with my turn signals. Occasionally they work, but for the past few days, mostly not. When I turn left or right or hazards the indicator(s) turn on (as well as all the appropriate lights) and just stay on...no flashing. I assume it is the relay and am willing to spend the $10 to find out, but cannot find where the relay is. I have looked under the drivers inside kick panel on the fuse block as someone else suggested, but can't find it. There is a small block w/ 4 relays in it, but they are small rectangular ones with four prongs and this one looks like a big square (38300-s9v-A01) with three prongs (from the honda diagram). Please help me locate it (pics would be great) Thanks |

When I turn the signal left both front and rear bulbs light up and stay lit, same with right and hazards...but I guess if it's some sort of dual filament bulb it could be. I thought the tell tale sign of a burnt out bulb was rapid blinking...might as well pull all the bulbs and check through.

Take a walk around the car. What you are noticing is normal for the flashers when one or more bulbs burns out.
There are no dual filament bulbs used on the turn signals.

Thanks for the link...from the last post it appears that it is on the back side of the drivers side kick panel fuse box. I'll pull the fuse box turn it around and see if I can find it. The flashers are working right now so it would be a good time to feel for the click.

I changed out the relay today after guessing on which one it was (there are over a dozen wire harnesses on the fuse box and I just felt on the back side after removing the single bolt holding the box on and pulled the relay so I wouldn't have to undo all the harnesses (be careful with the airbag ones)). The relay is on the back side, on the upper (toward the top of the car) front (toward the front of the car). I pulled it blind without too much trouble.
Here is a photo of the fuse box before undoing the nut or pushing the ebrake out of the way ![]() Here is the original relay and the box of the $14 replacement from carquest. Signals and flashers work great now...hope this helps someone else.
