Default Control Arm bushings gone?

<<'06 pilot with 58k miles. no suspension or wheel changes, all stock.>>

So I was rotating my wheels today and I noticed this up front.
I believe they are control arm bushings but someone correct me if I am wrong. Anyhow do they look like they need to be replaced, or is it something I should keep in mind for the future? I don't hear any unusual noise and so I think it's probably ok.

Searching around shows about $10-15 for those bushings and so I would change it ofcourse but if not needed I'd rather wait (it's summer and hot as hell right now).

Now I can't see the other bushings so I don't know what shape they are in but certainly I would replace them all considering the control arm would need to come out to press these bushings in.

Control arm bushing yes?

I think its called a compliance bushing by Honda but it's a control arm bushing. Mine look worse than yours at 116,500 miles and no adverse ride issues. I think that as long as the mounting bolt stays centered in the bushing and you don't have the control arm moving around over there you are ok, especially with your low miles. The outside of rubber bushings often look bad while the inside is fine. I don't replace bushings until rubber is dried and hard or has fallen out, allowing the arm to move around and change my alignment settings as I drive.

those are fine, as long as they are not broken free from the lower control arm.

Do you rebalance your tires or just rotate them?

maybe overkill every 7500 miles but peace of mind comes with it when properly done - plus it is proof to the tire shop against treadwear warranty.

I get lifetime rotation and balancing done at America's Tire Center.

Discount Tire is supposed to rotate and balance everytime you come in but they never re-balance the tires for me. They just rotate.

Are you sure? I bought their lifetime balance/rotation and they do both everytime I drop by.

I'm sure because I always watch them. Just like when I used to take in my vehicles to a any repair shop for an oil, filter and lube on my older cars (that actaully had Zerk fittings) and they always skipped the lube part. Whenever I asked for the lube aspect of the service they did not know what I was taling about and had no idea what to do or if they knew what to do they could never find a grease gun. Maybe it's just me but they always try to skip something.

I'd get with the store manager next time it happens and see what he has to say. I always watch them at my local America's Tire and they always rebalance - not because I am watching them :-)
