Default high pitched squeal when accelerating?

hey all,
ive got a 2005 pilot ex-l that i bought used with 74k miles on it. its now at 89k and ive been noticing a high pitched squeal when im accelerating. the noise stays a constant pitch and volume, but seems to temporarily stop as the trans is shifting, but returns after the next gear is selected. the noise is definately coming from the front of the car, and it seems to go away once youve driven for about 30 minutes or so. ive tried testing the wheel bearings (while its making the noise, swerve side to side to see if the noise disappears), and the noise only occurs when driving (if i try to duplicate it when parked, it doesnt occur..im thinking its a pulley bearing, but i dont really know how to test that theory. any ideas? oh, and ive checked all the fluids, and they are all topped off and recently changed..

I'm thinking that the fan belt is likely slipping due to age especially on the tensioner pulley.

You are very close to an age replacement of all the belts including timing belt......

Fan belt, really?

That's quite a trick with a transverse mounted engine.

my 2007 started doing the same thing, but I think it is from the engine area, as I pick up speed the whine gets louder, like a supercharger whine. If I am parked and rev the engine I get the same whine, the higher the RPM the higher pitch it goes.

now im thinking that the intake i had on it (i forgot to mention that earlier) was whistling...i put the stock airbox and hose back on it and took it for a spin around the block and the noise was gone...my wife is supposed to let me know if its actually gone tomorrow on the way to work...
ha...fan belt...serpentine belt maybe?

Really rocky, fan belt? I'm kind of perplexed since that came out of your mouth.

But glad to hear the OP has fixed his problem.
