Default "Check fuel cap"

Got that message, re-set the cap several times. Didn't get rid of message. Bought a new gas cap, but am STILL getting the message.
Suggestions?

Assuming you tighten the cap until you have heard three or more clicks, then there is something wrong in the fuel system that needs investigating.

sometimes it can take a few days to get rid of that naturally.

It takes three complete Cold Start/Warm Up cycles to reset, I believe.

Yes, per owner's manual it takes at least 3 days for the code to reset pending issue is resolved.

This light came on for my wife yesterday and only took three on and off cycles to go out after she fixed the cap.
