Default Sticky airbag cover

Hey good people!

Need your assistance. Airbag cover on 2003 Pilot has taken on a very shiny appearance and is extremely sticky, almost like contact paper.
I tried to wipe it up with non-abrasive or non-caustic solutions, but nothing works. In fact, it is getting stickier by the day.
Only product I use on entire car is 303 protectant. Everything else in the car is perfect, except the airbag cover.
Anyone had a similar experience? Suggestions to restore it?
It is almost like the plastic is disintergrating or something.
Oh, the car hardly sits in the sun. I only have 28k on the odometer and it sits in the garage a lot, so I know it can't be sun damage.

Thanks for any advice in advance.

Supo

I am guessing that piece of plastic does not like the 303.

Thanks NJay.
Yeah, that went thru my head, but surprised that everything else is in perfect shape except for the airbag cover.
Read that other car makes are experiencing the same thing, so it is not an isolated thing.
Oh well, gotta replace. The only bummer is that it appears the entire airbag assembly has to be replaced, not just the cover.
Bummer again.
