Default Replace 2011 pilot side mirror

I don't mean to cross post, but I posted this in the 2011 year specific forum and I'm not sure that's the right place for my question.

Anyway, I have a crack in the driver's side mirror. I found some instructions online for replacing it by just popping the old mirror out of the housing and replacing it. However, I'm not sure this is correct because the mirror has a defogger and surely has an electrical connection.

I don't really want to spring for $150 for the repair manual, so I am hoping that someone can give me some advice before I proceed. I've already ordered the replacement mirror.

Thanks!

Pat

This does not show your year but I'd imagine that the install is the same.

Default We'll see...

..I guess I'll know how similar it is when I try to pop the mirror off!

I'll take some pictures in case anyone else has the same problem.

Thanks for your help.

Slide pull out the old mirror and disconnect the connection for the heater. Then reattach it to new mirror and slide mirror in the same fashion. Don't worry it's very obvious once you get the broken mirror off.

BTW this is pretty much the same for any car. But most cars the mirror will just pull out instead of sligtly up and out.
