My wife has had a new 2011 EX-L with NAVI for 5 weeks. We've had a bit of snow the last couple of days in Chicago. I saw last night that the left rear quarter panel has split at the seam between the upper and lower sections. There is no dent on either panel nor a dent on the left rear bumper. It is possible when backing out of the garage, the rear bumper hit a pile of snow but she might have been going 1 mph at most.
The two panels look like they clip togther with male and female indentations. I am not going to try to push the panels back together. Will a dealer actually charge as to repair this? Has anyone every had this happen? BTW, she's coming off a 2005 Toyota Highlander and the Pilot is a fantastic upgrade. Toyota has just priced itself out of the market. |

I would make sure any attaching clips are still functional (and if not, replace them) and just try to push it all back together. It's hard to ruin these plastic panels as long as you use common sense. They are all just clipped together as they are really just decorative and not structural.
