I subscribed to this thread hoping that someone would find a possible solution. Not much update, before the thread could go into archives, wanted to try one more shout-out..
Recently got the car checked at 2 Honda dealers, firestone and a private auto care center. None of them could figure out what's causing the vibrations. The good part is that vibrations are consistent every time you accelerate from 0-20 miles speed and then its smooth and stable. the bad part is that every person who drives it has their own theory about a different part that could be doing it, but the worst part it, No one is sure about their hypothesis. I have so far replaced (All OEM Honda Parts and at the dealership) 1) Stabilizer Links (Both the boots had slight tear) 2) CV Alex Shafts (one had a tear in the boot, so got Both replaced with complete assembly) 3) Front, Rear and Side Mounts (dealer inspection indicated that they were weak) 4) Replaced Transmission Fluid, VTM Fluid and Power Steering Fluid (as part of 90K Maintenance) 5) On the fence to replace 3rd and 4th Pressure Switches (Already Purchased them - no Blinking D yet) I have so far counted about 50+ Owners reporting the same problem; Have anyone of you found a possible solution. Did you happen to replace any other part which resulted in this irritating vibration to go away for good? Patiently waiting and hoping to fix my deal Pilot.. ![]()

Does anybody know if Honda did anything on the Pilots to stop the torque converter transmission problems (rumble strip noise)? I would like to trade mine in a newer one but dont want the same problem. I have heard of 03, 04, and 05 with this problem. Is there anyone that worked at Honda and knows when they made the design correction and what model year it was fixed?

06 on has a new transmission, and we don't know if it has the same issue, as they don't have as many miles on them as the older Pilots.

I believe that as they go out of spec, they add to clutch wear. Don't wait for the "D" or the vibration.
