This is not a finished product and I am also working on a faq style page but this will at least direct people to a thread that may answer their questions.

Hey Mr. Mod, we could think about make it a sticky so it could be found, maybe?
I used to answer questions with "hey do a search". But I have found that if you do a search with trailer or towing you get a mess of crap that you have to spend all day wading through.
So maybe this will make it easier to find answers to easy questions, saving thread space for the tough ones.

Guess we're getting a lot of towing questions because spring is in the air. (finally!)

Great job, Matt. Thanks for the consolidation.

Default updated hitch install for 2006

I sent an email to the folks at HandA-accessories questioning them about the wireing harness install on their website that was dated 2002. They replied that they will update their website with the PDF for the hitch and harness install for the 2006. I see that it is now on their website. I couldn't find a current PDF anywhere else. It is somewhat different that the one that was posted there before.

Default Heavy towing question

I'm new to this site. Great info resource - nice job everyone!

Read as much as I could before posting, but did not see anything on towing a heavy load and using 3rd gear. On my '96 Z71 I tow 3500 lb ski boat in OD. Most newer trucks have tow/haul button to improve towing performance and reduce overheating damage to the transmission. But I don't see this info on Honda Pilot.

I don't have a Pilot, yet. Looking to buy a pre-owned '05, perhaps even this week if the right deal comes forward.

Thanks again for this site.

Did you read the instructions?

Yes you should have the spacers.

It should be obvious where they go.

You are bolting a FLAT object to the frame where there is a small step in the surface.

Guess what happens without a spacer.
