Default chrome side trim/molding on EX-L ?

i'm wondering if anyone has swapped the painted side trim on a '09-12 Pilot for the chrome accented trim that comes available on the Touring model of the same year(s)? my wife and I have a 2012 EX-L on the way, & i really like the chrome accent on the side trim of the Touring...i don't see this being an optional accessory, so i'm not sure how many would even attempt swapping....just curious if it has been done

thanks

I have a 2011 EX L and I too would like to add the upgraded side molding. I know they sell the chrome add-on piece that can be added (3m tape I believe), but I not sure that would stick long term. Has anyone tried this chrome add-on piece?

cool, glad i'm not the only one....is it truly just chrome 3M tape on the Touring trim? if so, i'm guessing that could be easily added to the existing trim (assuming its the same minus chrome)....i haven't seen a Touring in-person, so i wasn't sure if the chrome is actually metal or plastic

ah ha, that explains it...should be stainless trim backed with 3M tape...should be easy to do, so now i just need to figure out who has the best prices

BTW, its 09-12!

Chrome inserts as shown would be the way to go.
