Has anyone looked into whether the Touring side mirrors can work with an EX-L?
It looks to be about $450 for the replacement mirrors, but is that all I need?

I been dancing with the idea for a while. On the diagram, I'll say the only thing we will need is the housing and the light....

I was either going to install an led strip under the mirror or get this instead
Honda Pilot Parts - Honda Pilot Accessories at Auto Parts Warehouse (SCROLL DOWN ABOUT 6 MIRRORS DOWN FOR 2010 MODEL) Leds run a few dollars each and i can run them straight to the turn signal in the front or buy these. I am not sure if the ex-l is prewired with the turn signals or if i have to run separately. |

Just as many Hondas are pre-wired for fog-lights (e.g. my 2000 Odyssey was pre-wired for fogs), I believe that non-Touring Pilots are also pre-wired for turn signal side mirrors. Typically it's more economical for a car manufacturer to make and install one type of wiring harness vice several different types for each model level. Just as LX/EX/EX-L owners have several blank spots in their dash where switches are located in the Touring, and empty fuse spots in the fuse block, I also believe this extends to the wiring harnesses. This being said, we won't know until someone installs Touring mirrors on a non-Touring Pilot.

Not going to work. The pins of the harness on the touring is different compared to the ex model. What you would have to do to make it work is route the actually touring mirror harness from the mirror to the actually car. Alot of snaking the harness thru small areas of the car. I thought about it and compared it, just not worth spending time to do that project unless I was really desperate.
