Not speaking on the pilot specifically but on other makes people disable it for the longevity of the HID bulbs. That and it's not good to start the ballasts everytime you start the car.

Then you just include every car comes with HID. Some cars use low beam as DRL (my '07 Toyota Corolla S), so it's good to disable the DRL to better the life of the bulbs and the ballast (if you have HID). On contradiction, most cars use high beam as DRL (Honda, BMW, most Toyota, etc... with only 20-30% power consume compare to 100% high beam power) and some even gives you the option to turn off the DRL (Toyota Camry 07-present)

To recap, unless your car uses low beam as DRL and equips with HID, it's good to disable the DRL. Otherwise, leave it alone

Your right maybe I should have included that bit. If your car uses the low beams for DRL then yes you should disable it for the hid longevity. I own an '06 pilot so no DRL for me.

I know, man. The DRL is annoying me What I do is unplug the connectors to the headlights, so my Corolla can run without DRL during daytime and only use fog lights when needed

By the way, does anyone here has 3000k HID fog light set up? Any feedback from driving with it?

denpilot: There was most likely a reason he was banned (trolling).

I've always used DDM Tuning's conversion kits, had it in my last 2 cars. I was kind of concerned when I ordered it again last month for my 2012 Pilot since it was being shipped from China this time. When it came and I installed it, it was still the same quality as before. Even all my led interior lights, I get it all from DDM Tuning.
