Default Installing interior bike attachments in 2011 Pilot

Hi. I have a fairly new 2011 Pilot EX and bought two of the interior bike attachments. Looking at the installation instructions (http://www.handa-accessories.com/pilot/09intbike.pdf), I'm confused. When I pull off the cargo lid, as directed, I do not see the marks that indicate where the holes need to be drilled to connect the attachments to the lid. The picture indicates they should be there, but all I see is carpeting.

Little help? Thanks.

I took a look at my 2005 rear lid and the marks are there for a similar installation. I only have carpeting on one side of the rear lid. The underside is plastic and has the marks on it for the installation. I want to think that yours is probably the same, lift the lid up pull it out and turn it over.
Snap a pic possibly to let us know if yours is different.

Did that and I have carpeting on both sides of the cargo lid. While that makes it look nice, I sure don't see any marks through the carpet. Methinks the marks are probably on the plastic, under the carpet, which does not look to be easily removed.

Any suggestions?

I'd contact your sales rep, service manager or service writer and explain the situation. Seeing as your Pilot is new I'll bet they'll install it for you for free. If you know them well bring a dozen doughnuts.
