Everytime I open the hatch, things come rolling out due to the downgrade of the trunk. I also don't like the back being exposed so I added a cargo net and cover.
Every vehicle I've had, must have vents to let in fresh air when it rains. I went with the sunroof and the oem window vents. A little more expensive, but it flows with the pilot. I added a 3in diameter bull bar and hitch bar, just to protect the bumpers from the everyday bad parkers on new yorkers. I also applied another layer of light smoke tint all around to keep out prying eyes and keep some of that sun damage out. Finally a wireless radar detector next to the rearview mirror(4 AA) and the Gps not on the window(which is a dead giveaway to thiefs), but right across from the gear shift. FYI goto TRAPSTER.COM and download all red light and speed cameras in your area to your gps for free. You can thank me later when I saved you from that 50 to 150 ticket. |

Hi - Looks good. I have the in-channel vent visors and cargo net on ours, but was looking at a bull bar / nerf bars / rear step. Thanks for the pic of the bull bar, I was wondering how it would work with a front plate.
What are you using to mount the GPS? Would love to get our Tom Tom mounted lower like that. |

After installing the bullbar, it covers the license so you will need to raise the license plate. I used the bottom of the license plate and attached it to the top screws of the holder.
As for the gps, it came w/ a piece that on one sides adheres to any surface and the other side is smooth for the suction cup. I like this area for the gps because the dc outlet is close, closer reach and it doesn't block the view out the window. |

Hi just bought a 2011 Pilot, Has anyone else had problems with the downgrade of the trunk and things rolling out?
I just realized in my last test drive that there was a fairly decent downgrade with the third row down. |

You have to trim the plastic in order to reattach it back on. If not, you can't snap it back and there will be an opening for water to fly in. I used a thing called a "nibbler" that clips the plastic bite by bite.
To date, I have witnessed on two occasions people trying to park and hit the front of my pilot. The second time setting off my alarm. No dents or scuffs. I swear, I'm gonna add spikes to the front some day. Offroader, I purchased everything from here Auto-Beauty, Inc ; Introducing VanGuard Off-Road Products The aluminum running rails w/lights is my next project |

Finally got the running rails installed $350 installed. The guy could do the lights because he was not qualified and afraid to mess up the electrical. So when it gets warmer, I'll do it. Also got chrome door handles. Autoanything.com $54 w/coupon. But the price went up 2 weeks later to $75. Go figure
