Taillight replacement/switch

Hey everybody. I did do a search of the forums before starting this - came up with nada.

So my left tail light was ruined recently - long story - and I didn't plan on doing anything about it until a cop gave me a 'fix your brake light' ticket.

I noticed the '06 and newer Pilots have clear tail lights, can I use these on my '04 instead of the OEM red lenses?

They look about the same shape, and a search for diagrams on the two leads me to believe they're the same setup. Not enough info to come to a conclusion though.

Also, what's the cheapest place to get these replacement OEM lamp units or should I start scrounging crash lots?

EDIT-- Should I consider the land of eBay for these?
