Default Sidestep light wiring?

I purchased some aftermarket sidesteps with lights and hoping someone may help direct me to splitting the right wiring. I have a 2008 Pilot EX. Can anyone tell me what wire I need to split so that it's the same as the door light wire? There isn't a plug that came with it, just the red and black wire.

While I'm at it, I've read forums for wiring the iPod and I bought an iCruze and seems I don't have the right connection into the head unit. Has anyone been successful using an iCruze. I saw on www.installer.com/ipod some wiring, but not sure if it's even the right one. The head unit plug is rectangular and the plug on the adapter is circular.

Help???

Hi all,

My interior has been disassembled for the last 2 months hoping that I can get someone out there to help me out. Does anyone know?

Are you talking about the Monster Icruze? Have you checked with logjam electronics and crutchfield?

As for the sidesteps, unscrew the door switch in the door jamb, note the color of the wire and then look for that wide in the footwell area. Alternatively, remove the light switch in the dash by your left knee and figure out which wire you need to splice into. You will probably have to use a relay and a power source depending on the wattage of the bulbs in the steps.

You could also take it to an auto electrical shop.

Here is a video on how to install the Lighted Running Board. Part of it is how to get wiring for lights.

The thread starter has a 2008 not a 2009.

No one can help the thread starter re 08. The 09 installation will give him a general idea where to look for the wiring. I think this helps but not exact to follow.

Thanks for all your help and I did watch that video before. I could not find the plug in that video near the driver door. I guess I'll have to take the door apart to find the wire to splice. I was just hoping maybe someone knew if there was an easier way and for me not to tear out my door. Again, thanks!
