Greenhorn here. I recently purchased my first Honda a couple weeks ago -2006 Pilot EXL Navi. Since then, I have been looking to snaz it up a little.
Couple questions: Anyone know if the 2009 Honda Pilot All Season Floor Mats are interchangeable with 2006-2008 Honda Pilots. They appear slightly different (shape, post holes in slightly different locations) than the 2006-2008 Hond Pilot All Season Floor Mats. ANYONE TRY TO INTERCHANGE THEM TO SEE IF THEY FIT CORRECTLY? I am sitting on a good deal for some 2009 mats, including the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd row. I NOTICED THAT THE 06-08'S DON'T HAVE A THIRD ROW OEM ALL SEASON MAT AVAILALBLE...WHY IS THAT? Won't buy if it don't fit right. Been browsing OEM accessories and the cost is killer. Looking for OEM hood air deflector (bug shield), OEM moonroof visor, and OEM all season black floor mats (obviously). I prefer used because this is not usually a wearable item and brand new out of the box is too expensive. ANYONE LOOKING TO SELL OFF SOME OF THIS STUFF? ANYONE KNOW WHERE I CAN FIND 'USED' ITEMS LIKE THESE? I looked over the list of accessory sites already - all new stuff. Used is the way to go. Don't say Ebay. These items are rare. I have been watching and attempting to bid on several items and people end up overbidding for their purchase. The stuff is in high demand apparently - who sould blame them compared to the cost of new. They could have thrown down an extra 10 bucks and got it new with a warranty. What is the consensus of OEM vs. aftermarket accessories concering these items? Thanks. |

Unless the part numbers are identical they are not interchangeable in so far as they wont fit as well. If you don't care about fit, great.
There are lots of aftermarket companies out there. I generally prefer aftermarket for rubber mats (winter usage). Some even have the third row covered. Honda at least on pre 2009 models does not. Check in with the site sponsor, www.hondacuraworld.com and compare Tim's prices with what you are seeing out there. He does run specials every month, and mats would be a good special for all years of models with Winter coming up.

Check out the accessories forum here. Lots of good information.
Take a look at Weathertech floor liners. I have a set and love 'em. -Dan

Alright - I've pretty much made up my mind on the mats and the hood deflector based on advice and what I read.
However, I have not seen any opinions or advice on a moonroof visor. I have never had a moonroof before now and they say that the visor keeps the air from rushing into the 'cockpit' of the Pilot. Anyone have experience with this (I'm sure)? Recommendations on specific brand visors? Thanks. |
