I installed a fog light kit on my 2005 pilot Ex, and everything went smooth except the fog switch harness (under dash harness). The two pin connector is different on the harness and on my existing car harness. The car harness is also a 2 pin connector, but its slimmer. Is there an adapter for this or something?
Also i cannot locate the 20 pin connector that is supposed to be hooked up to my car harness under the dash. Any help would be greatful. Can someone post a picture of the location of this 20 pin connector? |

Bump...I have the same issue with the 2 pin plug on my 06 pilot. The one on the car is bigger than the one that came with my Kit and it will not fit. There is some sort of similar shape just different size now
1. If I follow the plug wire alignment the black wire from the car harness lines up with the blue and vice versa I kept it that way because it seemed that I should follow how it is lined up (BTW I removed the plug head from the vehicle harness)Didn't work so I switched back to match colors Still did not work. 2. Here is something else I did not use the control unit bracket and I tried to mount the relay directly on the steeering wheel bracket and the metal clip on the relay broke This might be a stupid question but does that mean it is shot please tell me it's this simple. 3. Is there a 2nd fuse location 4. Fog light install went well in the engine compartment. Thanks for any help. 06 Pilot Awd Lx |

David:
The metal clip is a connection. Take the relay down to your local auto parts store and match specs

I went to the auto parts store to replace the relay and noticed that it did not have that metal clip it is just for holding it as I have learned.
My mistake and quite possibly honda needs to more explicative in their instructions was that connector I found and thought was the right plug. In the instructions it states look for a connector wrapped with a blue tape around the ebrake so I grabbed the first one I saw near the e brake. Not knowing that their was one right behind and on top and kind of hidden behind the ebrake and also wrapped in blue tape. So now I am good and if anyone else has the plug problem with their fog lights not matching hopefully they can find this thread. Thanks Guys. If anyone has an idea what can that other plug be used for? |
