Default removing clips

This may be a stupid question, but what is the easiest way to remove the clips so as to not damage them or the panel they are holding in place?

I know in the past I have taken door panels off and rendered a few clips useless, but I cannot figure out how to take them off and keep them intact.

Thanks!

The little clips (as opposed to the big ones) are hard to get out with the ol' screwdriver technique without damaging them. I've heard mention of a clip removal tool out there somewhere, presumably it grabs the head on both sides. Hopefully someone here chimes in

Surely someone out there knows something about a nifty little tool or simple method of not damaging them, I'd hate to have to buy a bunch of little clips because they got ruined

It depends on what area are you refering to, door panel or dash board

Sears has one tool for door panel clips

Crutchfield has one tool for dash board around the OEM audio

the clips I am interested in now are the ones under the hood and bumpers, I tried pulling one out the other day and I felt like it was going to break off in my hands

Until I find a better removal method, I ordered some replacements here:

"Inner Fender Liner Clip".... They're 84 cents each.

I think there is no other way to force it. But you just need to be more extra careful. Little clips are hard to get. Like they say " Small but terrible "

Honda officially recommends their KTC Trim Tool Kit SOJATP2014. A quick google search turns up this place selling it for $26 plus something for shipping probably.

I bought mine a while ago straight from Honda. But, I think I paid a lot more than that .

Good luck!
Larry.

Even with those tools, I can guarantee you........you WILL bust a couple of 'em. Be sure to order 3 or 4 before you try to take the bumper off.

Niner put in the coolers yesterday and I'm pretty sure he didn't break any clips He also did it without the tool. All I saw him use were some pliers and a couple of screwdrivers! It seems to be driving okay, so I guess he did a good job.

What should I be on the lookout for in case there is something that isn't immediately noticeable?

If the rear tires seem to slip, it may be because your transmission fluid is pouring out on the road.

Sorry... seriously, leaks would be the only thing to keep an eye our for. And any warning lights.
