Default 2006 Pilot EX stereo removal/replacement

How do I remove the dash trim around the stereo in my 2006 Pilot EX. I need to get the stereo out in order to install an iPod interface.

Those are great threads, but they don't show exactly how to remove the dash trim for an '06 EX, which is slightly different than an '04. Installation instructions for the MusicLink adapter at College Hills Honda show how to remove that trim.

The CollegeHillsHonda site provides the real answer to my question, as the 2006 Pilot is different from earlier ones. I'll let everyone know what I think after I have done the installation.

If you go to www.handaccessories.com and go to the '06 Pilot pages you'll find the instructions to put in audio accessories into an '06.

Basically, you remove the 2 screws holding the plastic trim around the speedometer cluster and pull that black trim off, then you remove the piece of dash trim between the speedo cluster and the center radio trim (just pulls off), then you pull off the entire piece that surrounds the radio, including the vents and the VTM-4/emergency flasher buttons. It snaps in with 4 connection points. That's the big difference between the 06 and earlier models - the trim around the radio is completely different and includes the vents.......
