A Fully Padded Glove Box - Honda Pilot

At the request of a few members, I finally got around to making a fully padded glove box. Here's the five piece set I made. Material is the same material I use for the console pads, 1/16" thick neoprene foam with a textured surface on one side and 3M adhesive on the other side. Fits all '03 to '08 Pilots.

You have to remove the glove box from the Pilot to start. There are a couple of screws at the lower corner of the glove box. Use a 9mm socket or philips screw driver to remove the screws. You will need to remove the quarter panel to access the right screw.

Remove the rubber stop from the glove box. There's two of them. One on each side of the glove box. They're just clipped on.

Put on the back, left and right pad. If the pad is not installed correctly, just left and reapply.

Use a razor blade or utility knife and cut out the pad covering the hole for the rubber stop.

Pop the rubber stop back on.

Then put the top and bottom pad on. The bottom pad is the toughest to install because of the contours.

With the owner's manual, registration, and flashlight in the glove box, nothing slides around. Cost is $20 + $5 S/H. If you are interested, send me a PM for payment details.

Thanks Wilson I got your package this past weekend and installed the glove box kit, fog light covers and edge guard tape. The installation for everything was very easy including removing the right side glove box bolt which I was able to do with a 1/4â€ ratchet and a 6â€ extension.

Just one curiosity question; why is the bottom piece of the glove box kit not the same width across its length?

Not sure what you mean. Post a picture here or email me. The bottom pad is the most difficult to install because of all the contours.

Why is the piece circled in blue narrower at one end than the other is what was meant.

Oh, I see what you mean now. The pad is slightly tapered because the back of the glove box is slightly tapered.

Thanks Wilson, I guess Iâ€™ll have to go back and refit that piece since when I did a dry fit I couldnâ€™t find a position that would accommodate its taper. It appeared to me that the wide end of the bottom piece was too wide and the tapered end not wide enough for either end of the box; hence my curiosity.
