Default How do you keep your running boards clean?

My Sandstone color may hide a little dirt, but the black running boards show EVERYTHING!!! Any moisture outside and they become a magnet for water spots.

The Pilot can look (and stay) clean for a while except for those boards. Any suggestions?

Run, don't walk and get you some Meguiars Trim Detailer. This is the only thing I have found that keeps ALL your exterior black trim, black and looking like new. And for $2.99 it's a steal!

Check it out here.

I'm running then, because it's been close to impossible to keep the running boards clean....I don't think they've truly looked black since the day I took it home from the dealer.

While I love Meg's Trim Detailer, good luck trying to find it in the store. I have never been able to find it in stores, only directly from Meg's.

I have not tried it on my Pilot running boards specifically, I can also highly, highly recommend Natural Look Dressing from Poorboy's World. Poorboy's World. Meg's TD can only be used on exterior peices, NL can be used inside and out!

All of their products are increadibly good. I know you probably have never heard of them, but if you spend any time over at the professional detailing forums (Detail City or Autopia) you'll find many of the pros are now using Poorboy's products and swear by them. Two of the things everybody likes is that all of their products can be used in the sun and they are very easy to remove.

I have to admit that eventhough I love TD, as soon as I'm out I'll be switching to NL for all my interior and exterior trim.

Sorry, I didn't mean to confuse anyone, just forgot to add the plug for PB.

OK, it's now been a while since this was posted. Can anyone comment on how well the Poorboy's stuff works? Is it recommended or should I look at something else?

I'd like some treatment for the interior and exterior plastic (dash, door panels, tires, etc), that doesn't leave a shine like Armor-All and will protect it without leaving a strong scent (I don't want to lose that New-Car-Smell" yet .

Thanks!
Larry.

I tried this suff and really like it.
Here's a link, and you can send away for a sample, I don't think they are free anymore. I know Jay and Wwong like this stuff too.
