Default roof waxing

About to wax my Pilot. Can someone give me a good reason to wax the roof( from roof rack back)? Seems like a waste of time. I do wax the portion above the front seats.

Any wax on a painted w/ clearcoat body parts such as the roof of the Pilot is good thing to protect from the acid rain and other elements. You will also prevent it from rapid oxidation.

The flat surfaces need wax the most. They get the brunt of the UV.

I have heard that if you turn in your car if leased or trade it in, they check the roof to see if you cared for it or not. That's only what I have heard, don't know if it is true. Besides, not a big deal to wax, doesn't take that long to do the entire roof.

Default Wax that roof 'til your arms fall off

Seriously.

Go overboard when waxing the roof and hood. If your Pilot is parked outside, those are the pieces that see the MOST sun! I usually do 2 to 3 more coats of wax/polish on those panels just because they (the wax/polish) tend to wear out more quickly.

Just my $0.02 worth,
Mike
