Default Glue spots on paint

I just got my pilot a week ago and was out shining it up and found several gummy spots on it. My husband says it is from all the plastic stickers for transport. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get rid of it without effecting the clearcoat or paint?

Bug and tar remover or a clay bar treatment followed by a wax job should take care of it.

i used WD-40, followed by a thorough wash and wax.

I've found WD-40 to be an excellent Bug & Tar remover.

I just used Meguiar's Deep Crystal Polish (#2) and it worked fine. The glue came off very easy, and I figured this would be the safest approach to try at first. You can always go with something stronger, but why risk the paint if regular polish will do the job?

This stuff will not harm the paint. Works great!

you should have gone back to the dealer and demanded a full detail...

no reason you should be removing adhesive... that is their job...

I simply applied some car wax and the glue lines buffed out.

I noticed the similar gummy stuff on my pilot a few days after I received it. My solution was a strip of Scotch tape. Adhere it to the subject area and peel it away quickly. Repeat this several times and they are gone. It is simple, safe and effective.
