Question How often do you clean your interior?

I was looking around inside my '97 Exploder today, thinking "I'm gonna HAVE to clean this thing out before I sell it." The last time I cleaned the interior was when I waxed the exterior, which was back in October. A Rochester winter and 2 trips to Granny's house are showing....lotsa fries under those seats, salt and dirt on the Husky mats, and you can write your name in the dust on the dash.

So I was wondering, how often others clean their interiors?

I try to keep up with it and clean it every week, more often if there was something or someone that 'didn't do well'.

I have a 'mini California Duster' that I use on the dashboard and front seats area and if I'm waiting in the Pilot for someone, I often dust it while listening to music.

Course, no kids at home now so it's easier. When we're with our grand daughters, it's more chancy. But I have to say, with the last Van, I found more bad things from my adult daughter than from the teen age grand kids.

Anyway, about once a week is the answer.

I usually vacuum it out when I wash it. I suppose once the baby isn't such a baby anymore, I'll be cleaning it a little more frequently.

I'm trying to clean the interior/exterior at least every week, do semi detailing every month and do full detailing of exterior/interior twice a year.

Usually, late Saturday afternoon is devoted to the exterior of my Pilot and my wife's 02 Accord. Sunday afternoons it's the interior turn. I've found that by keeping on top of it only takes about an hour for each - beats watching TV

I hate a messy car or anything messy for that matter so I keep the Pilot as clean as possible. I do the interior once a month but I'm constantly picking things up off the floor & shaking off the debris on the mats just to maintain until I do the vaccuming, wipedown & such.

My Pilot is new and I have yet to clean it on the inside (in about two and half months). I am planning to do it as soon as I buy the stuff needed to clean & condition the leather etc.

But then I am the only occupant most of the time and the daily commute is less than 40 minutes each way - and I don't eat or drink in the car unless the drive is more than a couple of hours. So the interior doesn't get that dirty either. I do pick up junk items about once a week. If the cargo tray gets dirty by hauling some gardening stuff, I just pull it out & shake it clean immediatly.

With the old car I used to clean the interior when I vacuumed it about 4 times a year. I have purchased the California duster and plan to dust the Pilot more often than I did the old car.

I clean mine when it needs it and I have time.

A quick wipe-down whenever I wash. Vacuum if needed, or at least monthly, and do all the nooks and crannies probably about every 3 months. Also depends on if it needs it or not.
