Over the weekend I applied my first coat of Z2 appropriately mixed with ZFX as instructed. Did not have time to apply second coat, but I hope to do so tonight. For subsequent coats of either Z2 or Z5 is it really necessary to use ZFX again? Since ZFX is so expensive, I don't want to waste it. So far my process has been to Dawn, Clay, Z7, ZFX/Z2, Z6.

No, you don't need to mix w/ZFX for the next coat.
Mix with ZFX: - every 10 applications or every 6 months (whichever occurs first; this is basically substituting ZFX for Z1) or - when you want a faster cure time, or - when you want to do multiple coats in a day Otherwise, just a regular coat is fine. I know there's an inclination to savor your tiny vial of ZFX given the cost, but it will dry out before you use it all. 12-24 months is the shelf life once it's popped open, then it turns to gel. There's plenty of it in there

when you need to apply multiple coats within a short period of time, say an afternoon. Basically ZFX gives you quick cure time. If you will apply subsequent coat after previous coat of Zaino cures natually, then you don't need ZFX.
