I just thought I'd share some pix of my two year old looking almost as good as new. Can you guess what was used to bring out the shine?

Looks awesome Jiaronnis! Hard to believe it's two years old. I'm going to guess you used Nano Wax but that's just a WAG.
Without disclosing the wax, what else did you use? Clay? Polish? By hand or machine. Thanks! |

Jiaronnis, thats an excellent job! It looks brand new! Same question as smurry, what did you do to get it to maintain your Pilot to almost brand new condition?
I've never used clay before. I'll have to try it.

NICE!!
Is it always garaged? Do you actually drive it! ![]() No idea as to what you used to keep the finish so pristine but I know that you like to take care of your cars!

Has Nanowax been out 2 years? I'll guess that you use Zaino, but I believe that any of the 3 will give you a great look like that. It looks fantastic!!!

Thanks for all the kind words
Sorry to disappoint you all but I did not use any of the products I listed this time. I have used Zymol on the pilot before, I've never had Zaino or nanowax. Here's what I did: o woke up at 830am last Saturday o drove 30 minutes to the dealer o waited 90 minutes for them to get the Auto Butler semi-annual treatment performed o paid $9.95 for the wash o drove back with a big smile I've had this done since we bought her back in August '02. This is the fourth time for the reapplication, they weren't able to complete the process back in late February because the machine broke down midway through the final buffing process -- it had a shine but not as good as the completed shine. Basically, I got a freebie between my semi-annual schedule.

jcv007 and PQSpin,
AutoButler is a topcoat paint treatment that my dealer offered as an option for $200 ( I got it for free ). It involves semi-annual treatments/reapplications for three years or you can opt for a two, four, or up to a five year contract. They (AutoButler) warrant your vehicle paint to be free from permanent discoloration brought about by bird poop, tree sap, the elements, etc. as long as you get the reapplications done within a month of its schedule. The warranty lasts as long as the contract and they will pay for repainting if discoloration/paint problem occurs. All that I've seen was that there is a thorough washing ($9.95) and then, at some point, a guy sprays something on the body (it looks like he was spray painting topcoat), and then the car goes through a buffing machine. I didn't bother to observe anymore because it does get hot in Phoenix and I like staying inside the lobby to enjoy the free food and refreshments and soak in a little TV news (plus their cashiers were quite pretty ![]() I like it even though it is quite an inconvenience for me as I live three hours away from the nearest machine, but it's good to take a trip to Phoenix every once in a while. I hope I've answered your questions. |

Wow that sounds like a great deal! With 2 kids, it's been tough to get any time to work on my Pilot.
