Default Big Scratch on my Bumper....Now what?

Hey Piloteers,

I was leaving the gym, and as I was backing up, "boom" I crashed into something. I thought it was a car at first, but I had backed up into a low concrete wall that was very difficult to see at night. I got out and look at the damage and saw that I have a wide scratch on the right corner end of the bumper, that is about 8 inches long. There is also a gash, where the plastic has come up a bit.

My question is, what can be done about this now? Is there a way I can buff this out and repaint it DIY style? If I decide to get it professionally fixed, what will that run me? Is this something I should just live with, and get over? What do you guys think?

I'll post pictures as soon as I can. I want to wash it first, so that the pics give an adequate representation, since the area is a little dirty from the concrete.

Get one of those Band-Aid stickers, and think up a great "You will never believe this" off-road story.

I would give it some time and reevaluate the damage.
It may look better after several weeks.

Probably touch up paint and forget about it.

Otherwise a repaint for like $300
