Default Windows

My sister was going thru her Jeep accessories, washing her car and cleaning it out yesterday and we could not think of the right thing to clean windows. I know Windex doesn't work, so what is it??

Are you asking what can be used besides windex? Stoners Invisible Glass. Water and a microfiber towel. are other options.

Non-chlorine cleanser (like Bon Ami) is also a good way to remover stubborn dirt on your windshield. A light dusting of the stuff on a damp windshield, rub it around to give an even coating. Let dry to a hazy finish, then polish off with a clean cloth. Rinse to remove the loose particles left over.

I often use that process on the windshield when I'm replacing the wipers to give the new ones a really clean start.

The general idea of glass cleaning is clean, dry and polish. I usually start with warm water dishwashing soap (like dawn) solution while washing the car. I wash windows in and out and dry it. After that it is usually just one application of window cleaner/polish and glass comes sparkling clean. If you skip the first step it will come up clean eventually but it may take more time/applications. You may also use different strokes inside and out, so when the smearing occurs you can see which surface requires more attention.
I think it is more method than brand of cleaner, however I heard good opinions about Stoners.

You realize that Dawn will strip the wax off the paint don't you? Hope you're following that up with a nice wax job.

Not sure about yours but my windows are not painted
I am sorry I was not specific or clear enough. I don't wash car with dawn, just windows.
You need a small towel, dip it into the warm solution, wring it and clean your windows. Be careful not to spill the solution over your paint and the interior, leather, etc... The idea is just to remove the greasy build-up from the glass. It is usually on the interior part of the glass which is often washed less frequently.
