Default need advice! how to remove VOMIT smell from leather seat!

hey guys - hopefully somebody can help me out here...

my wife took our pilot to the ball game yesterday, and one of her friends had too much to drink (and eat, apparently), and vomited ALL OVER the front passenger seat, carpet, door panel, dashboard, center console, and down the side of the car.

needless to say, neither my wife or I am very happy.

i took it to the detail shop, and they cleaned it up inside and out pretty good, but i can still smell the vomit.

i essentially hosed down the entire passenger side footwell and seat with "nature's miracle, and i also used 3 separate applications of lexol leather cleaner on the seat, armrest and door panel.

i'm pretty sure that some of the vomit got through the perforations in the leather, and is in the cushion, both in the seat bottom and the armrest.

the detailer couldn't get rid of the smell, and neither can i. can anybody help?

i'm not scared of taking things apart, and think i may have to remove the leather seat bottom and clean the cushion. if that's the case, has anybody done it, or know how to do it? i did some searching and only found how to remove the rear seat in an odyssey.

i have the car in my garage right now, and it's all opened up and airing out. i'm anxiously awaiting any suggestions you guys can drum up.

thanks!!!!

I haven't had that problem in a long while but last time i used apple cider vinegar and sprayed it on the affected areas, and it helped alot..... use at your own risk...

**UPDATE**

i took the seat out (yes, i disconnected the neg. terminal of the battery first) and removed the seat bottom. i took the leather seat cover off and looked at the pad, and it's full of vomit. also, the pad under the leather is completely ruined.

i just took the seat to a reputable upholstery shop in town, and they are going to replace the pad and the cover. i priced the parts out from the honda dealer, and the leather cover is $395.17 and the pad is $316.15

doesn't matter though, because i called the girl who puked in my car and told her what it was going to cost to fix it, and she agreed to pay for it.

Dayum !!!!!!!!

That was an expensive night of drinking and eating !

What about junkyard parts/leather? Probably look just fine and cost about 1/4 the $$.

You're not alone brother. Couple years back the wife enjoyed herself to much at a dinner party.
Red wine and whatever she had for dinner.
You know that feeling when you can't roll the window down or pull over fast enough.
Trying to clean up that night and the next day while trying not to be mad. It was hard to clean the door cubby with all the vent holes. Even this year when I replaced the cabin filter, remove the sill plate...darn it.

Glad she does'nt read this forum

Not sure if this stuff works... But the late Billy Mays pushed a product call "WHAT ODOR". Seems the reviews are positive...

Don't forget to put a few plastic bags handly at the door pockets, and center consol which may eliminate some costly jobs.
