Default Restoring Clear Coat

Can someone recommend a website / video / forum etc for bringing back my G/F's clearcoat to its former glory? Today is the first warm day in the northeast and we washed her 06' pilot. Upon close inspection the entire vehicle has swirl marks in the clear coat. Sort of like the last person who waxed/detailed it had no idea what they were doing. I'm presuming I wll have to start with several grades of polishing compound (by hand or machine?) to get the swirl marks out. Then follow it up with rubbing compound and/or wax? I'd appreciate peoples input. I'm willing to put the time in, I expect to invest a full weekend (10-20 hours) to get this truck back to where I can be proud of it.
Thanks!

Wash

clay bar to get all the dirt out of the clear coat

using a random orbiter, polish (orange pad) with Klasse

If this doesn't get enough of the swirl marks out, you may need to go to a more aggressive polish, but is is better to start with the softer polishes and work your way up.
