Default vinyl cleaner

What is a real good vinyl cleaner and protecter to use on the dash and other interior areas? I know that Armor All is not good to use because of all the grease and stuff in it.

I have a bag of cleaning wipes from Four Peaks. The package is similar to a bag of wet-ones, it is a bag with a flap. It fits EXACTLY into one of the cubbies under the sliding lid. The only reason I don't like armor all, is I can't stand the dash being shiny.

I used to use Meguiar's, liked the smell, but if you do use it, wipe it off with a microfiber towel and not a regular terrycloth. The microfiber will reduce the sheen. Trust me, its makes a big difference.

Now I just clean with a damp cloth and top it off with 303 Aerospace Protectant. Doesn't leave any kind of sheen, just a natural look.

I used 303 for the first time this past weekend. Used it on the exterior spots on my 05'. Is it normal to appear as if the liquid "ran" down the surface? Kinda looks uneven, like it ran. Maybe it was the heat? I'm gonna go over it again this weekend to see if that helps.

i just use armor all cleaning wipes (I believe they are in a black/purple tube-like container). i get mine from target, but you can find them at any auto parts store and most supermarkets. they're cheap, work well, and are formulated to produce a matte finish, so they won't leave any greasy residue.

I have not had that experience with 303. For larger vinyl areas, I will often apply the 303 generously and uniformly with a soft tooth brush then wipe and buff with a dry microfibre for a nice even finish. IBesides vinyl, I use it on rubber door seals and tires. -- Dan

I've always used products from Lexol, Leather cleaner & conditioner. PLUS a great product called Vinylex from them also. First got to useing them with a z-28 convert w- leather, never sun problems or cracking in 4+ years of top down driving. Use it sparingly tho... just like the instructions say, I spent 45 min on the ph. with Lexol Engineers once with issues that ended up being me useing way too much of the stuff....... made it gummy & hard to buff off. Love the Stuff!!! Slight sheen on dash, not harse...imo.

Got that can of the Castle cleaner. I was expecting another gimpy consumer product but this is WAY better. It took a layer of gunk off my dash, cleaned it right up, looks great. I'm impressed!

Thanks!
