Talking Paint Protection -dish Washing liquid

I have Pilot 05 EX and planning my trip next month around 2000 KM
in an expected dusty or sandy weather.

Many people recommed me to use the dish washing liquid such as Fairy , Lux ...etc .. and to spread it using a sponge on the pilot front hood and the front bumper and the side mirrors to protect from the road sand and dust that will surely damage the paint.

this dish washing liquid will creat a thick layer that will protect the paint from the road sand and dust but easly removed by plenty of water ...

anyboady tried it before ?? what you think ...others Tried Lube instead of dish washing liquid

What a load of hogwash! Must be some wives tale or something. Just buy some 3M clear film or Lamin-X and apply it to where you want it and it will be all the protection you need.

Dishwashing liquid will strip your wax off of your clearcoat, so how is it supposed to protect the paint/clearcoat?

If you're going to do the Zaino what seems like a 12 step process, you wash the car first in Dawn to strip the old stuff off.

I take a Nancy Reagan approach to that and "Just Say No!"

Just drive the car and don't worry.

We know the system you use to wash the car; it's called Rain!

If you're really worried about it just put a coat of good quality wax on it prior to your trip. Other than that.........I am with N_Jay..........just drive and enjoy your drive in your nice comfy Pilot.
