Our old vehicle was a beat Dodge mini-van. The paint was flat and it was parked outside year round. I used Turtle wax soap/wax. Never really noticed any spotting nor really cared if I did.
We just purchased on 05 pilot. I used this soap and it left all these whitish spots all over the car. Yikes, the horror. I suspect that it is just the wax in the soap. In the meantime I have purchased a chamois and Maguires soap. This vehicle gets parked inside. But, I still see remnants of spots on the windows and paint. Can they be removed? or over time will they disappear. John 05 - ELX Steel Blue metalic |

I tried to take a photo of them. You can't really see them until it's either wet or you breath on the glass.
Living in Seattle the first thing I did was to RainX the windsheild and the driver passenger windows. These windows don't have the issue. But, most everything else, especially horizontal surfaces. The meguires took off most everything that is visible at first glance. But, it's just annoying to me. |

Even a brand new vehicle will benefit from a claying, then a polish or wax. Try a clay bar to get the impurities off/out of the finish. I've been happy with Clay Magic.

If you are having a hard time with the water spots on the window, I would try something like CLR, it's hardwater/calcium remover. I've used it(well diluted) to remove some nasty hard water spots from my wifes car's windows. Works well.
