When do you expect Pilot 2018 to be in stock?

Hi all,

I'v been trying for more than a month to buy the Pilot 2017 with specific preference for the colour and the trim wise. The dealers in my hometown expect from 1 to 2 months to have my car to be delivered.

This makes me think, why shouldn't I just wait for the new model 2018 to be released? which probably have some new features.

When do you think the pilot 2018 will be released? and do you think it is worth waiting?

Your suggestions will help me with my decision.

Thanks

The crystal ball we used to have for this kind of question stopped being accurate some time back.
There is a ton of stuff happening at Honda Alabama, especially with the Odyssey being replaced and MDX removed.

Uhhhh the 17s just came to market with deliveries starting very late Nov-Dec 2016. How about a year?

No major changes/improvements are anticipated for the 2018s either.

Also, why buy a model just a year before a mid cycle refresh? Hate to be a guinea pig, but would hate to have an "older" looking model when the new one rolls out. Glad I didn't pull the trigger on a Pilot in early 2015... I'd be extra salty these days 😂

Hell ya, I would be devastated. Ive seen many people do that. Their new car instantly is old (well at least just in looks) in just a few months.

Some people do it to get a great deal on a car. Those last few cars are much harder to sell.

I'd love to know when we will find out the changes, even if it's only colors, for the 2018.

If they come out on October 16th, when would the changes be announced most likely?

Dealer I spoke with today said there would be a few minor interior upgrades....could it be the volume knob?

I doubt I'd put off my purchase to wait for a volume knob, new colors, or an auto-sensing liftgate but I'd seriously consider it if Blind Spot Monitoring and/or captains chairs were available in Touring.

I'm pretty sure the blind spot monitoring will be available in EX and above.

This alone makes me want to wait. I have BLIS in my current car and my wife's car and it's so much better than Lane Watch and I consider it a must-have.
