Hey, thanks pilot_chip for posting the pics of the Meet! I had promised to post the ones I took, but I didn't expect my home PC would end up in the shop for 2 weeks. Hope to get it back later this week.

My thanks also, wwong, for the giveaways.

One thing about these meets---I always get newly inspired about my Pilot and about adding to it after seeing what others have done. Somehow--for me, anyway--seeing something in person is SO MUCH better than even the best photo for appreciating the various upgrades and changes people have made.

Ziploc,

It was interesting that after the meet when I was on my way back home I stopped at a nearby gas station to fill up and I saw someone looking at me and my Pilot.

Remember you commented how nice my dark tint looked and I said I never had problems with it. Well, I still haven't had a problem with it but there was this guy at the gas station who asked me if I was a police officer or if I had any family members who were cops because he was surprised how I can get away with tint that dark. I told him that SUVs seem to be given a little more leniency I guess when it comes to tint but I've seen darker tints than mine. Like I've said before, I've had cops right next to me at stop lights and they've never pulled me over (knock on wood

Just thought I'd share that little story

Ziploc, Kemo and Pilot_Chip - I enjoyed your company and I'll definitely try to make the next meet.

Ziploc, thanks for the door prize and for persuading me to get the crab crake sandwich! That was some good crab cake!

Wwong and Kemo, thanks also for the other door prizes! Some real quality stuff!

Pilot_Chip, thanks for posting the pics and let me know if your bringing your wife and baby to the next meet so I could try to convince mine to come as well
You're most welcome, jlontoc. Hopefully that chamois will help you keep that beautiful '04 Nighthawk Black Pearl finish gleaming, like it was the day of the Meet!

I can honestly say that Mr. Ziploc and I have met some really fine (and fun!) people at the three meets we've attended--something about Pilots must attract the best people! In the future, I'd encourage everybody to bring spouse/kids/significant other along....based on experience, I think they'd find the company enjoyable and have a good time.

Looking at the pics again and the gray day reminds me that we were lucky to finish up just before the rain started! Kemo, hope you were able to take your son to the Oktoberfest in Kemotown afterward. Though the rain at first looked like it might wash out the day, it seemed to pretty much quit within the hour.

OMG!!! That IS interesting, after we had JUST finished talking about it! I think that's the first time anybody you've encountered has commented on the darkness of the tint, isn't it? As for the cops, I think--and hope--they will continue to recognize that they've got MANY bigger issues to worry about than the exact percentage of your tint! (Wonder if FLPilot will weigh in on this issue)

Keep in mind that when I mention the Ziploc nick... that'll refer to Mr. & Mrs. Ziploc.

I can agree with you on that comment on the meeting fine people. I honestly told my wife that I did meet some good people at the meet. Small group but a great pleasure to chat with!

Ditto for me.

Giving credit where credit is due, Mr Ziplock took some of the
pictures . I think the only picture we have of him from the meet is from Mr & Mrs. Ziplock's camera.

I enjoyed the conversation and cameraderie.
