I'll second that weekendpilot. I had a really good time talking "Pilot" with others and seeing all the neat things they've done with their vehicles. Great people, good roast beef, and wonderful weather.

See ya'll at the first snow for the "Pilot Winter Games."

Being new to the "Pilot " club, today was a great opportunity to meet and exchange ideas. We had a terrific time and we too look forward to the "Snow" meet

Question Checking In

Hey, only 5 members have checked in so far...

I hope the other 4 (clarity, Mark B, Ziploc, and DanL) made it home safe and sound...!!!

Well, I'm sure Mr. & Mrs. clarity & daughter did since they only live a hop, skip and jump away, but Mark B and his 2+ hour commute -- I hope he made it back to Jersey w/o any problems!!!!

Thumbs up It was a great luncheon...

It was great to meet some other Pilot enthusiasts! I learned a lot and got some good ideas. The weather was perfect, and it was a good place to meet - the Tastee Freez has great roast beef sandwiches!

Thanks kemo and clarity for arranging everything.
Thanks Jay for showing me how easy it's going to be to add the 6-disk in-dash changer.
Mrs. mca3851: I scanned the Honda Backup Sensors Owner's Manual that I showed you - I just have to find a thread to upload it to.
guitarman: I thought the 2003 horns sound like an old VW horn not the 2004? I want to replace mine after hearing the 2004!
Thanks wwong for the pads - I'll be ordering your whole set - I hope you still have some left.

Count me in for the next meet...

MarkB

P.S. No problems getting home - but even though I was cruising at 80 to 85 mph on I95, I was still about an hour from home when kemo started this thread - he's quick!

Here a few more pictures while we wait for clarity and DanL and Ziploc to report in...

These Pilots belong to kemosabe, weekendpilot, and Ziploc (again, not sure why my son is hogging the camera, but it looks like he's getting ready to throw a rock at one of the Pilots ):

Snow meet! Snow meet! Do I hear Snow Shoes? Do I hear Canaan Valley? Garrett county? So our MidWest Piloteers can join in?

I had *such* a good time. Thanks again to everyone for agrreeing to meet at my local hangout. (anyone who was there can tell you I was REALLY excited, and then I got foam pads and won the diecast model to top it off!) I will ask Mr Clarity to get us some of the pictures to post. (that pic ~three up actually shows Mr Clarity and not me. ) I'm glad everyone got home ok.

This lunch was so helpful to me (I mean apart from the humilation of dirtiest tires, dirtiest exterior and dirtiest interior. Mr. Clarity went and did the otside and tires again for me yesterday afternoon after the lunch!) But, it was great to see different people's accessories. Fog lights, side bars, XM and Walmart chrome tips seem to be in my future.

Baby Clarity was asleep within 20 minutes of us leaving!

Chrome Tips

Hey, for those of you (from yesterday's lunccheon) who thought I bought expensive chrome tips for my exhaust pipes (and were pleasantly surprised to find out that they came from Wal-Mart), here's the info: the tips are made by Pilot (yup! ). The straight tips are part #PM-581 and the slanted/angled tips are part #PM-582 -- both are located in the Automotive section...

They are 6-1/4" long with a 2-3/4 " outlet. Installation was a breeze using only one (outside) bolt and U bracket. Very cheap price at $9.95 each!!!

*** Edited to fill in additional details (price, dimensions)...

Thanks for the info. The thread was most helpful too. We've decided we definitely want the back up sensors. We're still debating whether to go after market or OEM. We'll have to check out whats available in our area for after market. We will have to have them installed as we are not that handy ..

Ziploc Reporting In, with Pics

Hi everyone,

Mr. Ziploc and I had a blast at Pilot Meet No. 2 and GREATLY enjoyed meeting the "new" folks as well as meeting up again with our pals from the initial luncheon, weekendpilot and kemosabe. Sorry to be late (again) reporting in; hope you'll enjoy some of these pics that help "flesh out" some aspects of our get-together!

First, we have the dining area at Laurel, MD's, venerable Tastee Freeze, where we all enjoyed our burgs, roast beef, hotdogs, subs, and ice cream (not to mention some BODACIOUS french fries)!
