aerostar45 also has everyone beat in terms of mileage: over 20K, I believe... I can't remember who had the fewest...
Holy Mackeral! Let's see August 4th to June 16th. The eighth month minus the 6th month makes 3 months that he owned it. 20K divided by 3 months comes out to 2 thousand miles a month! That's a bunch!

What?! No pictures of "that darn Chevy pickup truck"?

You know what I can't help noticing as I look at all these pictures. All of your vehicles seemed to look almost the same except for color and bug deflectors. What an amazing coincidence.

So you do, florida_guy. And you're missing out on all-wheelin' your way across the (sub)tropical beach in a new Pilot (though methinks there's a decent chance there's an '04 in your future....).

Seeing your signature line about your 198,000 miles and counting Honda Accord reminded me of a topic that came up at today's Pilot luncheon....

Klowry mentioned that there's a dealership in Woodbridge, VA (not too far from DC area) that has on display a '94 Honda Accord---still supposedly in great running shape---that's got ONE MILLION MILES on it!!!!! In fact, it's for sale! Apparently, the Accord's one owner bought his car from, and continued to have it serviced by, this same dealership over all those miles. [Great advertising for the Service Dept., huh???]

Anyway, I thought of you, florida_guy, and how your Accord is relatively "young" by these standards. Heck, you could put off buying a Pilot until ALL the bugs are worked out and the navigation technology is quite a bit more mature.....say, 2007 or so?????

I haven't yet decided how best to dispose of my Accord when the time comes. Mechanically it has been well maintained but all my outdoor adventuring and living in Wisconsin means it doesn't exactly look new any more.

Yeah, and I expect it doesn't exactly have that new car smell any more, either!!! Also---While that "miracle machine" in Woodbridge may be running great, I have to wonder if it's looking as great!!!

Idea for a proper disposal of your old, faithful Accord: Why not a charity that accepts automobile donations? You'd be helping out a good cause and getting a tax deduction.....

Sorry, I am late again!

Sorry for checking in late, AGAIN!

But I have a very sounding reason.

After the lunch, my wife and I were heading home. We were eager to clean up our garage, which was still filled with our moving box. We've moved into our new house for a month now but our pilot hasn't been treated as it deserved, if you know what I mean.

Feel free to post any picture you have, I have several to post later too, including the picture showing my pilot in the garage!

It is really a pleasure to meet everybody in person. The meal was great too. We should do it again sometime later.

Taffeta White EX
Fog Light, Auto Day/Night Mirror, Cross Bar, Mud Flap, All Season Mats, Cargo tray, Running Board.

Life changed and I have sold it on Dec 2003.

All OK's in to post people pics

Since I'm still crazy enough to be awake, and we've gotten the go-ahead from all luncheon participants, I'll kick off the pics showing the "people behind the vehicles." First, we have (L to R) Paul V7, 6-yr-old Romlmkt "Jr.", Romlmkt, Mrs. Romlmkt, Klowry, Aerostar, Ziploc, Mr. Ziploc, and kemosabe. (Thanks, weekendpilot, for lending me your umbrella! Hmmm, you're not in this pic; were you taking the shot??)

OK, one last group shot, very similar to the first shot I posted, EXCEPT weekendpilot has stepped in and can be spotted in between kemo at far right and Mr. Ziploc....

That's the option I've been considering. Does anyone know if the IRS will accept BlueBook value as fair or do I have to have pictures and appraisals and all that kind of stuff?
